Graeme Perks is an Australian and UK trained surgeon. He is a Director (European delegate) of ICOPLAST (International Confederation of Plastic Surgery Societies) since its inception in 2016.
Head of Service, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Burns Surgery at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, Nottingham UK, he has enjoyed building close relationships with a wide range of other surgical specialities, in particular Breast, Head and Neck Surgical Oncologists and Orthopaedic Surgeons.
The inaugural two-year President of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) 2013 and 2014, and now serves as Chairman of their Professional Standards Committee.
His current interests are patient safety, particularly international breast registry activities, and surgical education where his greatest satisfaction is seeing his former trainees surpass him.
