Senior Clinical Lecturer in plastic surgery at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London and Consultant Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon at the Academy of Aesthetic Regenerative Medicine, London, UK. He obtained his Doctorate in Medicine from Damascus University and he is also qualified in Medical Law and Ethics (Glasgow University), Surgical Science (Distinction – University of London) and Developmental and Stem Cell Biology (PhD - University College London). He is an Arnold Huddard Medalist of the Craniofacial Society of Great Britain, Chair Award during his fellowship at SickKids Toronto and also Awardee of the International Fellowship of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. His research investigating predictive validity of simulation training in microsurgery and facial aesthetics has led to numerous national and international awards. He is a founding member and present secretary to the International Microsurgery Simulation Society.
